So -- "What's Watts"!

Watts Field
Last Saturday June 17th the Ripcord Drop Zone at Annonay about 40nm west of Archerfield was officially dedicated to local 79yo WW2 pilot John Watts

The dedication service included the attendance of the ex fighter pilot who acknowledged and appreciated the recognition and laid a wreath in memory of fallen comrades during WW2 and in other times of conflict

The unveiling of a Monument and Plaque officially named the airfield as the "Jack L Watts Airfield"

As mentioned in last weeks issue - there is the Watts Bridge airfield north west of Archerfield and now we have the newly named Watts Field to the west - both within the local Brisbane control area
