The Brisbane based Sunday newspaper reported recently that QLD's skies are the most dangerous place to fly in OZ

So there ya go, if your not the true adventurous type then don't fly in QLD; try surf'n or 4x4 driving or just stay homebound!

Maintenance Costs Ground B737

 December 4 
Air Nauru's Pacific service has been grounded for a second time because of unpaid bills for maintenance performed by Qantas

Sources put the unpaid amount at somewhere between $1 million and $3 million

Air Nauru has been unable to use the Boeing 737 to operate the routes from the east coast of Australia to Nauru, Kiribati and Fiji

Government $10M for School

 December 5 
Tons of money to give away The QLD Government has set aside ten million dollars to encourage Singapore Airlines to relocate their pilot training school to Maroochydore

The facility is expected to train 140 pilots and 36 first officers a year utilising four Lear jet aircraft and an advanced flight simulator

Singapore also has a large contingent of air force pilots and aircraft based at our military airbase, Amberley, which is just 15nm to the west of Archerfield -   Previous article HERE

Click to enlarge The Royal Aero Club of Western Australia tried to emulate Qantas and have bits fall off an aircraft, in the form of an aircraft window, which ended up falling down into the Perth suburb of Success

The twin-engine Piper Seminole side window popped open during take-off and then fell off when the pilot returned to land
