The recent accidents in WA and the ACT indicate, to this News Desk,
a lack of pilot awareness of what has happened or is happening to their aircraft when different
from 'normal' operations

It may well have been an un-recognized engine failure with the twin
engined Cessna C310 that lead to a dangerous below VMC situation and a high density height due
hot conditions resulting in a poor climb performance at all up weight with the
Beech A 23 Musketeer, that - in the end - resulted in both aircraft striking
the ground in an uncontrolled condition
