In the USA, after the September 11 terrorist attack, the FAA have been issuing pilot NOTAMS on a very regular basis as they to come to grips with what has happened

The FAA, similar to our CASA, do not appear to fully understand the light aircraft industry

Quote from the USA based Aero-News:- "NOTAMS have run completely amuck in the past three weeks, as first one type of operation, then another, has a change made to it. Sometimes, the changes are just hours apart -- and contradictory. It's literally impossible to keep up..."

A passenger has attacked the driver of a Greyhound bus in Tennessee USA with a knife slitting his throat and causing the bus to roll over killing six passengers on board and injuring several others
