A group of 8 Beech V35 V-tail aircraft flown by enthusiasts departed Van Nuys for Oceano County Airport in California where they planned to lunch

OZ Rotarians Group Tragedy

An Australian couple aged in their mid-70s from the Gold Coast have been killed along with 2 others when their Piper PA-32 aircraft they were in hit a mountain in Portugal

Celebrations in the USA have been marred by a light aircraft accident that claimed 4 lives and a shooting in the LA airport terminal that killed 3

Another Heavy Down in Africa

A Sudan Airways B707 cargo plane came down at around midday at Bangui, capital of the Central African Republic, on the residential and busy market district of Guitangola in the city

"People were crying everywhere. There were thousands of people. I even saw some walking away with bits of the aircraft"

"The pilot had asked for permission to land because of technical problems and on approach he cut off all four engines"
