A Tu-134 and a Tu-154 Passenger jets have gone down 200km and 965km south of Moscow with the loss of all 86
POB - both aircraft crashed at about the same time - both had departed Moscow's Domodedovo airport
The Russian FSB security service discovered traces of explosives in the wreckage of both aircraft and said "the planes were brought down by bombers on board"
One aircraft is reported to have had the hi-jack transponder code activated
Swiss Cessna 421 Fatality in WA
August 30 Two British retirees living in OZ perished when their twin-engine Cessna 421 had an engine
problem shortly after lift-off at the exclusive El Questro Wilderness Park in WA's Kimberley region and on return impacted
the ground near the end of the departure runway The resort reported that "the man and woman on board were aged in their 50s and believed to be from the UK and were the owners of the aircraft"
The El Questro is a million-acre property developed in 1991 as a wilderness park
"...prices for a minimum two-night stay in a single room costs around $1,000"
An ATSB spokesman has reported the Cessna twin as registered in Switzerland
August 30 A Scandinavian Airline flight from Athens to Copenhagen carrying Olympic athletes on board was forced to
make an emergency landing in the Greek capital Athens shortly after take-off due to problems with the landing gear

The undercarriage failed to retract correctly forcing the pilot to return and hold for about an hour until until the correct landing weight was achieved for the emergency landing
August 23 In France a military jet fighter collided with an ultralight aircraft causing the ultralight to fall to the ground
The 2 on board the ultralight - a 63yo pilot and 55yo passenger - were killed - the Mirage 2000 involved made a safe emergency landing at nearby Clermont-Ferrand's

A second Mirage accompanying the one that struck the ultralight remained over the scene and alerted rescue
officials before returning to the Istres base near Marseille
