With recent increases in light aircraft safety comes the slow realisation within the industry that those involved
in support of light aircraft eg., repair workshops, aircraft spare parts and insurance loss adjustors are all now "feeling
the pinch" over the lack of a good "crash"
Back in the heyday for light aircraft flying in OZ - 60's through to the early 80's - repair workshops on
Archerfield were kept busy with accident repairs, storm damaged aircraft and general maintenance - the aviation section associated
with "crash" repair work has now virtually disappeared compared to what was happening on the airfield up to a few
years ago
