Another Ultralight aircraft has been lost, this time in Far North QLD about 80 kilometres south-east of Charters Towers

The pilot a 51 yo Charters Towers local - was found dead in wreckage of his aircraft near Mt McConnell on the Great Divide

"The pilot had left Moranbah at 6.15am on Saturday on the return leg of a business trip and the alarm was raised at midday when he failed to arrive home"

B737 Captain Drunk at the Wheel

An airline pilot reported by passengers for flying his Boeing 737 erratically - has been arrested and fined USD$1,845 in a German court after a breath test showed he had been drinking contrary to air regulations

The passenger jet was flying from Morocco to Dusseldorf in western Germany when "several of the 108 passengers complained about the pilot's 'erratic' flying style"

German Police launched an investigation against the 'heavy' pilot - who worked for a north African airline - for "endangering air traffic" and the nation's civil aviation authority confiscated the plane's flight recorder for evidence
