Aussie built aircraft engines continue to expand in the home-built and sport aircraft markets particularly
in the USA where both the Bundaberg based Jabiru opposed and Victorian Rotec radial engines are in high demand
Around this time next month the greatest air-show on earth for aircraft home-builders will be under way at Whitman Field Oshkosh
and the Rotec team are arranging to spend their second year there
with their latest offering - a 150HP 9 cylinder radial engine - as well as their 7 cylinder 110HP

       |  Here on OZ there has been a number of attempts to 'reproduce' the EAA style of air-show - none have succeeded at this point in time - there are still
a number of smaller "fly-in's" held around OZ for area locals particularly among the ultralight fraternity
Organised by the EAA/USA the air-show has been an annual event for more than 50 years and normally attracts crowds
of around .75 million visitors from 70 nations and 10,000 aircraft ...some machines arrive en-masse in a formation of up to 100 aircraft
