 A 4-seat Robertson R-44 helicopter with two experienced pilots on board
has crashed at the mouth of the Yarra River around 1900hrs claiming the life of the pilot - the passenger/pilot was able to extricate himself
and was rescued by personnel from Melbourne's Leisure Boating Club

 Media reports indicate the helicopter sustained a rotor-stall
whilst departing Melbourne's Pier 35 area - "When he took off he went into a steep ascent and as he was doing this he tried to turn to
avoid the buildings ...It lost lift and fell down sideways and hit the water"
