| June 23  2007A medical emergency risk management debate has erupted in Kiwi Land after an Air New
Zealand Beech 1900D Commuter Prop-Jet with 17 passengers on board was forced to carry out a wheels-up landing at Blenheim's Woodbourne airport a few days ago after
suffering an undercarriage malfunction on approach to Wellington

Doctors argue that Wellington with its two public hospitals had a larger ambulance and surgical resources than Blenheim
and was more suited to large scale injuries which would certainly swamp any secondary service hospital - "they would be much better
served at a tertiary hospital like Wellington"
