REPLICA BI-PLANE DAMAGED IN TAKE-OFF ACCIDENT AT WATTS BRIDGE

The pilot of a replica biplane - type not identified - sustained a fractured leg after his machine impacted the ground shortly after take-off at the Watts Bridge Memorial Airfield north west of Archerfield

Media reports indicate the 65 year-old owner-pilot had just lifted off in his Kilcoy based home-built machine when it suddenly nose-dived into the ground beside the runway

BENALLA GLIDER TUG DEMOLISHED IN LANDING INCIDENT IN VIC

A tug-aircraft - type not identified - landing after towing/releasing a glider as part of a training exercise with a flight instructor and student pilot on board flipped and rolled shortly after touchdown

The 52 year-old instructor and off-duty police officer was initially trapped inside the wreckage and suffered serious head and neck injuries - his 19-year-old trainee pilot also suffered injuries

TRAINEE PILOT WRECKS GROB AT PARAFIELD AIRPORT IN SOUTH OZ

A trainee pilot landing at Adelaide's Parafield airport lost control of his machine after the wing-tip apparently "clipped the runway"

The 2-seat Grob G-115B was operated by Flight Training Centre based on Parafield airport

JABIRU J430 HOME-BUILT EMERGENCY LANDING IN TASMANIA

Police and emergency services were called to the scene of an aircraft's forced landing at Rowella near Beaconsfield in northern Tasmania - the 2 persons on board the 4-seater home-built were uninjured

The Jabiru J430 was forced to make an emergency landing after the 48 year-old pilot experienced severe vibrations and a loss of engine power
