Media have reported on an ultralight crash during an adventure holiday in the Northern Territory that has claimed the life of a visiting tourist

The tourist - believed to be from the USA - was at the Mary River Station hunting reserve near Pine Creek when the accident happened on the airstrip

The Qld Police Department have advised that a pilot aged in his 30's has died in a light aircraft accident near Winton in QLD's outback

The aircraft believed to be a Cessna 206 crashed on a property 130kms north east of Winton - the pilot was the only person on board
