SEARCH UNDERWAY FOR MISSING WEST OZ ULTRALIGHT

Police are searching for an ultralight aircraft that went missing on a flight from Narrogin to Bunbury in the South-West of West OZ

16 aircraft are searching for the ultralight and the 53-year-old pilot who had not arrived by the planned time of 1500hrs yesterday

PILOT LOCATED ALIVE BUT INJUREDUpdated  3:21 PM 7/12/2009  

The pilot has been found in a farmers paddock in the state's South-West near Brockman Highway at Chester north of Albany

The 53-year-old is being treated for serious back injuries after the Tecnam machine he was in had a 'heavy' forced landing

SEARCH UNDERWAY FOR MISSING VICTORIAN ULTRALIGHT

Police have begun a search for a missing open-cockpit 2-seat ultralight that has failed to return to its departure airport of Yarrawonga on the Murray River late yesterday

TASSIE MEDIA JOURNALIST FORCE-LANDS TB-10 LIGHT AIRCRAFT

A Tassie Examiner columnist attending an Aero Club "Fly-In" at Claude Road along with several other aircraft was forced to make an emergency landing after departing the private airstrip when the engine failed to maintain take-off power - the French built 4-seat Socata TB10 Tobago ran through a paddock fence causing some superficial damage - all 5 persons on board including the pilots 3 children escaped injury

RESTORED RUSSIAN YAK-18T FORCE LANDS NEAR CROWS NEST

A 56-year-old pilot and his 13-year-old passenger escaped uninjured after the restored Russian Yak-18T trainer aircraft they were in was forced to make an emergency landing into a farmers paddock at Anduramba near Crow's Nest north of Toowoomba after an apparent fuel supply problem

RARE 2-SEAT SPITFIRE DAMAGED ON LANDING IN KIWI LAND

New Zealand Spitfire owner Doug Brooker has pranged his rare 2-seat Mk VB machine (again) at Auckland's Ardmore airport just before noon to-day

The famous fighter apparently bounced on landing collapsing the under-carriage with the machine skidding for around 50 metres on its belly before coming to rest

A 77-year-old ACT man has lost his life after the ultralight aircraft he was in struck powerlines and crashed into paddock near Brial Road about 10km north of Boorowa in the central west of NSW - Police established a crime scene and detectives from Cootamundra Local Area Command are conducting inquiries
