CESSNA C152 STUDENT PILOT LANDING MISHAP AT MOORABBIN

A pilot escaped unharmed after his machine crashed into a ditch whilst undergoing solo training

The student pilot had apparently made a hard landing and lost control of the aircraft - it then ran off the edge of the runway into a ditch

TRAINING AIRCRAFT COLLIDE ON THE TAXIWAY AT BANKSTOWN

OZ media have reported about two aircraft colliding on the taxiway at Bankstown airport

The training aircraft - one was a twin - sustained significant structural wing damage

PIPER NAVAJO EMERGENCY LANDING IN SNOWY MOUNTAINS

A pilot and co-pilot escaped uninjured after the light aircraft they were in made a successful emergency landing in a paddock on the Cooleman Plains in the Snowy Mountains

Apparently the pilot of the eight-seat Navajo had miscalculated the amount of fuel needed for the trip from Albury to Canberra and decided to land rather than risk the chance of running out of fuel flying over the rugged Brindabella Ranges

CANBERRA AIRPORT'S MISSING NOSE-WHEEL FROM C182 LOCATED

The nose-wheel of Cessna C182 that landed at Canberra International Airport on Tuesday without it has been recovered from a Canturf grass farm at Fyshwick in the ACT

The Australian Defence Force Academy trained pilot returned to the turf farm and retrieved the missing wheel and conceded to media that he hadn't been aware it had fallen off
