GLADSTONE DROP-ZONE CESSNA 206 IN FORCED LANDING

A Gladstone skydive operator - Adrenalin Skydivers - had the engine fail on their C-206 shortly after take-off from Gladstone airport - there were 7 persons on board including the pilot

The single-engine Cessna made an emergency landing on a beach at Wiggins Island just off the coast - all on board survived without major injury

CESSNA 210 IN WHEELS-UP LANDING AT COROWA AIRPORT

Two pilots have escaped injury after the early model Cessna 210 they were in landed without the assistance of the undercarriage at Corowa Airport in southern NSW early yesterday

Apparently the undercarriage failed to extend - the pilot was able to carry out a successful wheels-up landing in what was considered to be wild weather conditions

AIRCRAFT AUCTIONS CONTINUE TO DOMINATE INDUSTRY

Auctions of light aircraft continue to dominate the flying training and charter industry with 9 aircraft to be offered this month by Slattery Auctions as "Genuine Repossessed Aircraft"


The auction at Coolangatta airport is on August 27 with 3 Cessna 172's and then at Bankstown on August 28 with 6 on offer including two PA-31 charter type machines

ROYAL VIC AERO CLUB C-152 ENDS UP IN SUBURBAN BACKYARD

A 27-year-old female commercial pilot and her 70-year-old male passenger walked away virtually unscathed after the 2-seat Cessna 152 they were in crashed into a Melbourne back yard in the south-eastern suburb of Mordialloc - the Cessna ended up demolished alongside a backyard pool - no one on the ground was injured
