A 58-year-old female pilot was airlifted to the Royal Brisbane Hospital with serious injuries after the single-seat home-built 10KT ultralight aircraft she was in impacted the ground at Regency Downs about 75km west of Brisbane - the QLD Ambulance special trauma unit attended the scene as the pilot had severe head injuries and compound fractures and was placed on life-support before being airlifted to hospital
