ANOTHER QANTAS JET IN EMERGENCY LANDING AT SINGAPORE

A Qantas B747-400 departing Singapore for Sydney with 412 passengers and 19 crew on board was forced to return and make an emergency landing after departing Singapore's Changi airport



Apparently one of the Rolls-Royce RB211-524G-T engines had failed - "..the captain sought primary clearance to return to Singapore and the aircraft landed safely a short time later without incident"

QANTAS SUPERJUMBO IN EMERGENCY LANDING AT SINGAPORE

A Qantas A380 superjumbo en-route from London to Sydney via Singapore with 433 passengers and 26 crew on board was forced to make an emergency landing shortly after departing Singapore's Changi airport



Witnesses on the neighbouring Indonesian island of Batam reported an explosion - "There were metal shards coming down from the sky into an industrial area in Batam"

QANTAS GROUNDS ENTIRE A380 SUPERJUMBO FLEET

Qantas has announced that it has suspended all of the six A380 aircraft that it has in service from taking-off until the engine safety issue has been resolved

Other operators of the A380 around the world including Singapore Airlines and Emirates do not intend to ground their aircraft at this point in time

GRAFTON SKYDIVE C-206 DAMAGED IN FORCED LANDING

A Cessna 206 attending the Grafton Aero Club's annual Jacaranda Muster Festival had the engine fail on descent after dropping a load of skydivers at 10,000' forcing the pilot to carry out an emergency landing that ended up a few hundred metres short of the main runway



The six-seater landed in a swampy paddock damaging the nose-wheel and port wing

THE AVIATION ADVERTISER INTERNET SUSPENSION LIFTED

Operations are now back to normal for the OZ based Aviation Advertiser after having been suspended by the USA's domain host Planet.com



Hopefully time will explain the circumstances of the internet host's "BLACKLISTING" highlighted by the News Desk a little earlier to-day

The popular OZ internet based aviation magazine - the Aviation Advertiser - has been suspended 'BLACKLISTED' with no sensible explanation given



The domain host is the USA based Planet.com Internet Services in Houston Texas
