 HOME-BUILT ULTRALIGHT ACCIDENT INJURES THREE IN WHITSUNDAYS 


A 64-year-old pilot and his 35-year-old partner along with her 3-year-old boy were seriously injured after the ultralight (Savannah) Bingo! they were in crashed shortly after take-off from a private airstrip in the Whitsundays



Media reports suggest the short-take-off and landing designed 2-seater may not have had sufficient runway length and appears to have stalled during climb out - all three on board were taken to the Proserpine Hospital

 STUDENT PILOT INJURED IN GLIDER TRAINING FLIGHT AT BENALLA 


Victorian Police have advised that a glider has crashed into a 'barb-wire' fence surrounding the airport at Benalla during a training exercise - the as yet unidentified sailplane had the student in the front seat of the tandem 2-seater with the instructor sitting in the back



The beginner pilot - a 61-year-old male - was seriously injured and airlifted to Melbourne's The Alfred Hospital

 GYROCOPTER CRASH AT MANGALORE IN VICTORIA CLAIMS 2-LIVES 


Victorian Police have confirmed that the occupants of an as yet unidentified gyrocopter have lost their lives after the rotary-wing flying machine they were in impacted the ground in unknown circumstances



Media reports have the flight as pilot training with an instructor and student on board

 PILOT SURVIVES HOME-BUILT ULTRALIGHT CRASH AT WHYALLA 


The pilot of a home-bulit aircraft has escaped with only minor injuries after his machine was forced to land and then burst into flames near the Whyalla Golf Club in South OZ



Apparently the pilot had spent the last four-and-a-half years constructing the single-engine ultralight and was en-route from Port Augusta when the incident occurred



The pilot was taken to hospital with minor injuries

 AUCTION AT KINGAROY OF WHITNEY BOOMERANG MANUFACTURING PLANT 


The Receivers and Managers of Dean-Wilson Aviation Ltd and Queensland Aviation Manufacturing Pty Ltd - the manufacturer of the Whitney Boomerang 2-seat pilot trainer - have all Aircraft and Parts including Workshop Office Furniture & Equipment up for auction later this month at the Kingaroy hangar



The December 7th Auction last year was postponed and has now been re-allocated to take place at the end of this month
