LIFT COMPONENT OF FLIGHT THEORY DEBUNKED AS INACCURATE

Theory of Flight textbooks up to now have always explained that lift occurs because of the pressure change of the air mass passing over the curved upper surface of the wing has further to travel than underneath meaning it must travel faster and in doing so creates a low-pressure 'lift' zone that assumes the split airflows will arrive at the trailing edge of the wing at the same time

Professor Babinsky explains - "although lift is caused by a pressure change between the top and bottom surfaces - it's due to the change in the shape of the air flow rather than its speed"
