TWO SERIOUSLY INJURED IN GLASAIR FIERY CRASH NEAR JANDAKOT IN WA

A pilot and his passenger has sustained serious injuries and burns after the home-built fibreglass constructed Glasair-3 they were in experienced an engine problem and force-landed on a sports oval after departing from nearby Jandakot airport

An eye-witness reports the aircraft clipped power lines then hit a football goalpost before crash-landing onto a council-owned football oval"...two men aged in their 40s and 50s were able to crawl from the wreckage"

CHRIS SPEROU AWARDED OZ BI-CENTENNIAL AWARD BY UK'S GAPAN IN LONDON

South OZ based aerobatics pilot Chris Sperou has been awarded the Australian Bi-Centennial Award by the London based Guide of Air Pilots and Air Navigators in recognition of his outstanding individual contribution to Australian sports aviation

Chris was well known in the airshow business with his Pitts Special and extreme low-level aerobatics display "Between 1968 and 1987 he won the unlimited national (Australian) aerobatic championship 13 times"

THREE OCCUPANTS SURVIVE HELICOPTER LANDING CRASH NEAR BYRON BAY

A privately owned five seater Eurocopter 120 with only 3-persons on board has crashed when trying to land on private property near Byron Bay on NSW's north coast after a pleasure flight from Stradbroke Island

"...the pilot reported wind caught the chopper as it was landing and caused it to rotate and tip onto its side" - The 58-year-old pilot and his two mates were uninjured

OCCUPANTS ESCAPE INJURY AFTER CESSNA INVERTS ON LANDING AT TYABB

Two persons on board a late model Cessna 182 escaped uninjured after the aircraft they were in flipped over on landing at Tyabb airport on Victoria's Mornington Peninsula

Media reports have the aircraft running off the tarmac and into grass before flipping onto its roof "...the male pilot and young girl on board were uninjured"
