BEECHCRAFT DUCHESS ENGINE FIRE IN BANKSTOWN HANGAR

Emergency services were called to attend to extinguish a fire that had started in the port-engine of a twin-engine BE-76 during what appears to be a fuel 'overprime' condition during an engine start sequence

The 4-seat pilot trainer twin sustained fire induced damage to the engine bay and surrounds - there were no injuries to personnel or damage to other aircraft in the 'open-sided' hangar

TWO SURVIVE ENGINE FAILURE IN CHARTER C182 AT KUNUNURRA IN WEST OZ

A 1980 series Cessna 182 - operated on charter by Shoal Air at Kununurra in west OZ - had the engine fail during take-off forcing the pilot to make an emergency landing directly ahead

In the landing it appears the nose-wheel collapsed and that inverted the aircraft

"The engine failed during the initial climb ..and in the subsequent forced landing the aircraft flipped over and came to rest inverted ..the aircraft was extensively damaged"

The pilot and passenger - the only persons on board - were uninjured

FLOAT-PLANE INVERTS ON LANDING NEAR CUNNINGHAM PIER IN VICTORIA

The pilot and his two passengers have escaped with only minor injuries after the float-plane they were in flipped over when landing at Geelong's Corio Bay in Victoria

The aircraft was returning from a scenic flight and was attempting to land near the Cunningham Pier

"The local seaplane that does charter flights around here has flipped upside down"

Image capture from a TV News report suggests 'Pilot Error' is to blame as the undercarriage is extended for a water landing - and that's a BIG NO-NO!
