PILOT SURVIVES HELICOPTER CRASH NEAR MISSION BEACH IN FNQ

The pilot of a Bell Jetranger has survived after apparently hitting a tree during a crop-dusting operation of a banana farm at Mission Beach in Far North QLD

The 33-year-old pilot "..suffered back and neck pain and was taken to the Innisfail Hospital"
The rotary-wing was extensively damaged

STUDENT PILOT DEMOLISHES CESSNA C150 ON LANDING AT MOORABBIN

A student pilot and his instructor from Tristar Aviation have escaped injury after the Cessna 150 they were in landed heavily during a training exercise at Victoria's Moorabbin pilot training airport

Image of accident indicates severe damage "...There was a significant amount of damage to the front of the plane as well as the wings and one of the wheel structures collapsed"

PILOT SURVIVES ENGINE FAILURE ON TAKE-OFF AT NEWMAN IN WEST OZ

The 37-year old pilot of a Cessna C206 Stationair has escaped uninjured after the 6-seater aircraft he was flying had the engine fail shortly after take-off from Newman airport in the Pilbara region of West OZ

The aircraft was not so lucky "...he landed close to a medium-sized tree which I'm sure would have done some damage"
