Gatton police have advised that the pilot - believed to be a local air-park resident - has been killed after the Vans RV-6 homebuilt he was in crashed in unknown circumstances and burst into flames

Gatton police report...
"..he's actually hit the ground inside the transport depot (Nolans) bounced over the fence and landed into an embankment"

The pilot of an amateur build Pitts S1S aerobatic aircraft was uninjured after carrying out an emergency landing into a paddock at Lethbridge due to engine failure with the machine flipping inverted

While attempting to land the aircraft hit a rock which caused the plane to flip onto its roof
"The lone pilot aboard the plane escaped uninjured"
