AIRCRAFT CRASH AT WEDDERBURN KILLS FEMALE RECREATIONAL PILOT
A female pilot has died and her passenger - the owner of the aircraft - was seriously injured after the 1986 home-built Glasair they were in crashed into heavy timbered country during approach to Wedderburn private airstrip S-W of Sydney
The airstrip is operated by the NSW Sport Aircraft Club and "the pilot has been a club member for 10 or 15 years"
Club secretary Jock Anderson "My understanding is it was on approach to landing when it stalled"

CASA REGULATIONS DESTROYING ONCE VIABLE AVIATION ENTERPRISES
Media (The Australian) has reported on issues that are affecting small aviation business operators with the Government regulator (CASA) insisting that a new GPS based aircraft tracking system be installed in aircraft to allow air controllers to monitor activity outside their limited radar coverage
"...aircraft owners are being forced to pay between $16,500 and $125,000 (per aircraft) for ADS-B installations"
From 2007 to 2012 private and business flying declined 15 per-cent, flying training fell 21 per-cent, however between 2007 to 2014 CASA staff increased 40 per-cent
