The Airfield slowly gets back to "normal" after a few days of "soaking" rain
Friday saw another "mini movie" in the make and Saturday, it was the "double twin", the DC4 and
"Grand old Lady of the Skies" returned to the 'Field for a short stay
. . . . . and for the V.F.R. pilots, a "self tracking", GPS linked, lap-top
displayed, moving map program was tested
. . . . . . the result was "excellent" and considered the next major step in navigation
for the "Fly for Fun and Pleasure" pilots since the introduction of the GPS!

A late afternoon lightning storm
"writes off" another fabric covered Aircraft
Gazelles appear to attract the fury of nature like bees are attracted to a yellow
flower!
The aircraft was "tipped over" by the high winds from a passing storm late on Sunday, causing
extensive damage to the wings and fuselage
. . . . . and to-day an "old" Archerfield aviator, Keith Carmody undergoes his 36th.
I.F.R. renewal with John Appleton, another "old" Archerfield aviator as the "tester"
. . . . . both these local "oldies" have been using this 'field as their base airport for
more than 35 years
. . . . . which only goes to prove that "time" is also flying at this airport!
